A recent pet portrait commission – a beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback called Mali. I was asked to paint her by her owners who live in New Zealand, because the much-loved Mali passed away recently. This portrait was intended to be something to remember her by. I am told that Mali was a good-natured, faithful companion with a loving personality and I think this shows in her eyes. I hope her owners will get many years of pleasure from this pastel painting.
